In A Perfect World...

We talk about our ideal world a lot here. And, without getting too descriptive, everyone would be happy with a Chloe Satchel bag, bodies like the models who walked in Louis Vuitton's FW 2010 show, Tom Ford back at Gucci, Pamela Love jewelry and Linda Farrow shades.

Vogue Paris' Blacklisting A Really Big Deal...

Tuesday, Tommy Ton of Jak and Jill tweeted something that raised quite a few curious eyebrows:

"I received some news tonight that is going to SHAKE the fashion world in the next two days. CRAZY!!!!"

Now, if one were as smart and saavy as we are, they'd note that Tommy Ton has a weird and twisted tie to the Vogue Paris team (via streetstyle encounters). And, with Carine's public scandal with Balanciaga - after being blacklisted from the Fall 2010 show - people are beginning to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Paris Fashion Week: The Details

Some of the most infliential designers who show during Paris Fashion Week took a look back into the designs that claimed their fame - or, at least to what they began designing after the fame came - but, does this really look into the future of fashion, or are we all being fooled...Again?

Balenciaga: To us, Balenciaga Fall 2010, was in reality Balenciaga 2007 through 2009. There wasn't anything innovative from Nicolas Ghesquiere this season, except a delicate quilted puff on what he may call outerwear and a overly designed hem that we may have seen seasons ago, walking down the Fendi catwalk. Let's not forget the Fall 2009 shoes, now available in different colors for Fall 2010 - with slight variations (think chunky block heels). Not too much change neccessary?

Vogue Paris Banned From Balenciaga?

What happens when the Vogue Paris team stops showing up to the Paris Fashion Week shows?

We believe it's called being "blacklisted."

When the Vogue Paris team didn't appear at the Balenciaga presentation, Vogue Paris EIC, Carine Roitfeld, told WWD:

“We’re blacklisted. It’s too bad, it’s a beautiful house and it’s French. I hope that it’s not forever... Ask them.”

Connelly Carries Balenciaga On

Somewhere lies a contract that entitles Jennifer Connelly to don Balenciaga forever.

And I am entirely too jealous.

Connelly appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman on January 11th wearing pieces from the Spring 2010 bevy, looking completely ferocious.

Best of all, I bet against all odds that she barely had to put in much effort.

Lady Gaga is Up to Something...

I recall arriving tardy to Marc Jacobs' fashion week presentation in September, since he now begins on time. Regretfully, Lady Gaga wasn't punctual either - and although I was distracted by Anna Wintour and her fur protestors - I didn't assume too much of Lady Gaga's first major fashion week appearance, with a sweltering after party performance in tow. Yes, she met Madonna during her debut, but big deal - she has further intentions. Today, I am beginning a private countdown until Lady Gaga initiates her own fashion label with some major fashion influencers. Oh? You thought she was going to shadow Victoria Beckham? No, no girlfriend - Lady Gaga wears McQueen, virtually before it's even sketched. I foresee that she will have a bevy of heavy hitters in line behind her. I am wishing on a star for a Nicolas Ghesquiere encounter, or maybe even a Christophe Decarnin. Oh, the delightful desire! Anyhow, enough fantasy rambling. The Gaga is returning to fashion week this forthcoming season, kicking it off with amfAR's annual New York gala fund-raiser. Regardless of the guest list, just watch out for Carine Roitfield's surefire appearance.
