NIGHT LIFE
Join Flavorpill.com in taking a step back to observe the famed nightlife of NYC. Derrick B. Harden and Laura O’Reilly curate the event alongside the incredible Roxy Cottontail, (Hostess of Monday night parties at Sway, of course) who will also be DJing the opening. While at the exhibition, you will see three artists’ perception of night life through painting and photography. The exhibition is broken up into three different times while on a night out.
Stephanie Podasca, will focus on hearsay and will finish her speech-bubble paintings at the event. She’ll be eavesdropping, so be careful what you say or it might end up in a painting. Ryan Keeley, the owner of the Keeley Gallery, will use the factor of enticement in NYC’s nightlife in his art. Kaitlyn Stubbs, through her photorealistic pieces, will show the “comedown” you feel after partying all night. The exhibition opens Wednesday August 31st from 6:00pm-Midnight. The exhibition ends September 3rd so if you can’t make it to the opening reception, you can still go check it out.
