After emabarking on his jam packed Freaks Of Nature Tour this summer, Kaskade is coming back to the Big Apple to bring out the "freak" in everyone at the lavish, midtown nightclub, Lavo.
The Chicago native is a house hold name and has been producing for more than a decade. He has hit the decks of Vegas superclubs, major festivals and is no stranger to LAVO NYC. He got behind the booth last year for co-owner Noah Tepperberg's birthday and is sure to attract a solid crowd to the club this Thursday.
His signature tunes produce flowy melodies infused with pleasant female vocals seen in "Eyes" and "Angel On My Shoulder." Kaskade and Lavo couldn't be a more perfect combination for it's consistent star studded talent appreciated by the music lover in every New Yorker.
Noah Tepperberg & Jason Strauss host Tiesto's 43rd birthday celebration tonight at LAVO! We know, 43 years, we can't believe it either. This is set to be one of the biggest, most exclusive parties of the year, requiring "red carpet approval" to even buy a ticket. Tiësto was born Tijs Michiel Verwest in Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands on January 17, 1969. He started DJing at the age of 14 at local school parties. In 1985 through 1994 he was a resident DJ at several clubs in the Netherlands. He played weekend sets from 10pm-4am at a small nightclub called The Spock in Breda, where he was really able to settle into a style of his own.
Tiesto's Birthday at LAVO

Come celebrate Tiesto's birthday tonight at LAVO! This surprise birthday bash is the most coveted party of the night. The world renowned DJ rings in another year of life and topping charts. Need we say more? Get your tickets here. Early arrival is recommended, the door will likely be a madhouse.
If you know nightlife, you know Rocco Ancarola. As founder of the Pink Elephant franchise, he brought us the first house music style parties we're now all accustomed to. Even after decades in the business, Rocco is one of those guys no one can say anything bad about. And if anyone does, he's also one of those guys that the entire room would stand behind.
Last month Rocco suffered an aortic aneurysm and had to be rushed into emergency surgery. Ironically, the guy with the big heart had his heart give out on him. So with the help of LAVO and Noah Tepperberg, a benefit is being hosted tonight to help raise funds to pay his medical bills and living expenses. His recovery is expected to take at least a year, meaning he'll likely be out of work and will need all the help he can get. So come out tonight at 10pm and join the best of nightlife at LAVO to help out a dear friend.
Lavo celebrated their 1 year anniversary last night with DJ Laidback Luke. I just want to thank Noah Tepperberg, Jason Strauss, and all the peeps at Lavo for making this year so much fun for so many people!!!! I have spent many priceless nights at this establishment. I've seen countless world famous DJs like Calvin Harris, Erick Morillo, Steve Aoki and so many more this year at Lavo -not to mention the private parties they hosted this year! Such as the NFL draft party, Victoria's Secret after party, and Heidi Klum's Halloween party --all of which I was lucky to go to. Thank you again to all the Lavo family, the amazing resident DJ Steve Powers for constantly setting the party mood, all the fun waitresses and hosting staff, that could arguably be the best looking in NYC. Here are a few of my pictures from the year at Lavo, ENJOY!
On Wednesday night, legendary nightlife/restaurant guru Noah Tepperberg had his birthday celebration. For you people living under a rock, Noah owns some of the best and most profitable nightclubs in the world. Just to name a few venues, does Tao, Marquee, Lavo and Avenue ring a bell? The night started at Tao with a 300+ person dinner. Everyone was dressed in white, as it was a white and neon themed party. Even the infamous giant Buddha who sits in the main dining room was dressed properly with a white shirt and neon sunglasses and was surrounded by gorgeous busty dancers with onion booties that definitely made me tear up a little bit. T & A was clearly the main course for dinner. Everyone then went to Lavo, where Kaskade was DJing. (I seriously love his song "Move for me" from 2008 and will never ever get sick of it. I still listen to it now while I walk the stinky streets of NYC.) It was a epic evening at Lavo. Filled with the most beautiful people in NYC, with dozens of people flying in from around the world just for the special occasion. Lots and lots of bottles of champagne being popped and a gigantic pair of sneakers in a form of a birthday cake all for the special birthday boy. I would have to say it will be nearly impossible for anyone to top this birthday celebration. Happy Birthday Mr. Noah Tepperberg!!!!
There is a reason why the doors of LAVO, the dining and nightlife concept brought to you by the Tao Group, are always jam packed. While it's impossible to pick just one, we would venture to guess that the Kobe Meatball might have something to do with this hotspot's popularity.
Made from fresh ground A-5 Kobe and accompanied by creamy ricotta cheese (made in house), the LAVO meatball may just be the best thing you ever eat, ever. It was packed with flavor, perfectly juicy, and melted in our mouths in a way that could only be understood by tasting it yourself.
Noah Tepperberg can be described as no less than a nightlife mogul. He and The Strategic Group are responsible for opening some of the hottest spots ever; including Avenue, Marquee and Artichoke Pizza in NYC and TAO and LAVO in Las Vegas.
Their latest project, Dream Downtown had a launch party on June 15th, which was described as simply, "Epic." Quite a crowd came out to celebrate the much anticipated opening, including singer Eve, Solange Knowles, Tyson Beckford, Shenae Grimes, Kellan Lutz, and Kara Dioguardi, just to name a few. The new spot hasn't officially opened its doors to the public, but it's already being touted as the "next big thing." We got a chance to chat with Noah about Dream and what's to come for the new lavish hot spot.
Congratulations all you NYC pizza lovers, your early holiday gift has arrived! On Thanksgiving Eve, at 111 MacDougal Street, you can forget turkey for a few hours and think undeniably delicious, gooey, cheesy heaven, with the opening of Artichoke Basille's Pizza Bar's third location!
It all began a few years back with a tiny pizza place on East 14th Street where Artichoke Basille's quickly developed a devout fan base. After all, when Keith Richards plays "air guitar" after tasting a slice, you know it must be something special. Soon after, in the Spring of 2008, cousins Francis Garcia and Sal Basille partnered with Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss (owners of Marquee, Tao, and Lavo) to open their flag ship location on the corner of Tenth Avenue and 17th Street. "This location features sit down dining and has a new non-pizza menu consisting of unique heros, pasta dishes, and also serve's wine, champagne, and over 20 types of beer including Artichoke's own brew."
Owned by Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss, partners in Manhattan's Marquee and Tao and LAVO in Las Vegas, it's no wonder that Avenue is one of the most glamorous, exclusive clubs in the city. This supper club has served A-listers like Madonna and Beyonce, but is more well known for their post-midnight crowd of top models and party elite. With a strict door, and even stricter dress code (no shorts on guys. EVER.), be assured that inside the doors of this bi-level club, you'll find some of the best looking people in town.
Trepperberg calls it a "gastro-lounge," a mix between a bar that serves food, no dance floor, with lots of seating and a DJ booth. In the beginning, this unmarked door didn't require purchasing a bottle, but with word getting out of Avenue's heat, you'll be lucky to get past the door without some serious connections, or serious cash.
