Ultimate Spectacle Launches in the UES

We love sunglasses. And parties. And beautiful bubbly entrepreneurs. So when we heard about the opening reception for a new one-of-a-kind eyewear boutique in the Upper East Side founded by the adorable Jaclyn Edelstein, we had to check it out. Ultimate Spectacle, located at 789 Lexington, is the new go-to spot for fashion savvy shoppers looking for high fashion, hard-to-find frames as well as specialized eye care. Not only can you find the hottest new styles, you can also get a comprehensive eye exam onsite, while eyewear experts fit you with ideal frames suited to your facial structure. And they know what they're doing! After glancing at me for a mere 5 seconds, they were able to instantly pick out two frames that fit my face perfectly.

Balmain Preps Men For Fall 2010.

Oddly, it always slips my mind that Balmain carries a men's bevy. Maybe it's because I have yet to meet the man who spends his entire trust fund making purchases from the label - only then to promise me a lifetime full of Balenciaga gifts and late night dinners with Nicolas Ghesquiere.

But, they do indeed have a menswear line, as well as a newly launched sunglasses bevy in collaboration with Oliver Peoples.

The apparel collection showed typical scruffy prep looks, with stripes, prints and a lot of dreadful khaki trousers to be paired with the oversized aviators the label is now marketing.

Though the items aren't as nearly desirable as the women's bevy - it doesn't hurt to glance.
