To be with Elizabeth Olsen is to be at once starstruck and nostalgic. Her face, strikingly similar to billionaire sisters Mary Kate and Ashley, brings to mind so many memories of "Full House" episodes and "Brother For Sale" singalongs.
But for someone who has barely arrived on the big screen, she carries herself...well, like a movie star. The easy smile, the gentle complexion, and the trademark Olsen figure (slender, though at 5-foot-seven she towers over her sisters) give her an air of glamor beyond her 22 years.
All together now: Awww!
Lucky girl Natalie Portman, 30, has had quite the year so far. Not only did her performance as perfectionist ballerina Nina Sayers in Black Swan win her a whole slew of acting awards - including the Oscar for Best Actress 2011 - the successful actress has gotten engaged and became a mom for the first time.
Portman gave birth to son Adelph on June 14th, 2011 and had successfully maintained a nice, low profile to protect their growing family's privacy. US Weekly got the exclusive pictures of the proud mama and her son on their little adventures.
Doesn't James Franco remind you of that Sour Patch Kid commercial? One minute he's sweet, the next he's running his mouth about something he don't like. At least they're both cute.
Now that he can put "has co-hosted the Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway in 2011" on his resume, one would assume James Franco has learned to keep his opinions to himself once in a while. However, the saying that has been proven right time and time again - actions speak louder than words - was evident in his performance during the star-studded event. Franco looked bored, annoyed and all in all, just did not seem to give a f**k. What was even odder was the fact that he was nominated in the Best Actor category for his work in 127 Hours!
It's a boy!
People magazine reports that Natalie Portman and her Black Swan choreographer/co-star turned fiancé Benjamin Millepied finally got to meet their long-awaited bundle of joy yesterday, 06/14/11. The star had just recently turned 30 on Thursday, making the arrival of her son to be the best...birthday present...EVER.
The Israeli-born actress (raised in New York) previously confessed to following Jewish superstition and has not prepared ANY baby stuff, believing it to be bad luck to do so if the baby is not born yet. Another scary thought on every gossip aficionado's minds, however, is the supposed 'Best Actress' curse where previous winners of the award experienced a downfall in their relationships (e.g. Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, etc...just to name a few).
Penelope Cruz gave birth to her first child - a little boy called Leo - on Jan.22.
Since then, the actress and hubby Biutiful Javier stayed at home and enjoyed their new full time job of parents. They received a lot of visits, especially from Penelope's brothers and sisters. But everybody was dying to see the new mom and dad on the red carpet.
They attended last night's 83rd Annual Academy Awards and they just look amazing. They radiated on the red carpet, Penélope flaunting her assets in a crimson L’Wren Scott gown. Even if Bardem didn't come back home with Best Actor, he came back with the best looking wife!
Banksy, perhaps the most famous street artist of our time, is back in action in L.A. this week. After a few of his pieces were defaced, it seems he hit up some old locations to put a new spin on those old pieces.
His piece, dubbed the Crayola Shooter, depicting a small boy in military uniform with gun surrounded by crayon flowers, had been found defaced a while ago. Splashed almost entirely with paint, the work was going to be worth a log of money and sold by the property owner. Similar cases have been found with some of his other pieces and a few have even been removed.
