OUTKAST
Do you like your beats fast and your bass down low? Do you like to kick back to old school jams from one of the greatest hip-hop duos in the game? Then listen to these filthy new dubstep remixes of Outkast.
While Big Boi and Andre 3000 have split and probably won’t be hitting the studio together anytime soon, the production crew of SMKA has created a refreshing alternative.
Using beats from DJ prodigies like Rusko and Dillon Francis, SMKA has executed this dubstep project in a flawless fashion.

To say that Winehouse was troubled would have been an understatement, but history has shown that the greatest artists are usually the ones with the most tortured souls and disturbed lives. As cliché as that sounds, Winehouse was the epitome of such a musician, with plenty of scornful tabloids and Grammys to show for it. Winehouse was a young light that burned out too soon, but there is no doubt that her torch will be carried on by many of our gifted artists.
While the music world continues to mourn the untimely passing of the British Soul singer Amy, the first wave of tributes have rolled in with more surely to come. Already her friend M.I.A released “27,” a chilling number dedicated to WInehouse and every other young soul who passed away at the tender age of 27.
Get this: Outkast's Big Boi has been assisting in the production of Modest Mouse's new album. Though Issac Brock, singer-guitarist of the band, and the guys haven't mentioned anything, Big Boi dropped a series of excited tweets about their work.
"Me and @mouche1 [producer Chris Carmouche] in the studio workin with Modest Mouse on their new album Turnt up ! Shout out to Issac and the crew!"; "Been camped out in the Lab with Modest Mouse all week, workin on the new mouse LP, coolest cats ever. Long Live The Funk"; "Modest Mousin' it."
Rapper/artist CanKoone sits next to his personal manager Jeff Jacobs. They are an intriguing pair; two years of working together has cultivated a close friendship between the Bronx native and the young, savvy manager from the Upper East Side. The 27 year old rap artist wears different shades of black, a bandana around his neck and a beanie.
CanKoone's skills are not only as a rapper, but as a songwriter and a businessman, one that, with the help of Jacobs, is plotting a launch on the music industry that’s been years in the making.

Erykah Badu gave us "Tyrone."
Kelis belted, "I hate you so much right now" in "Caught Out There."
Outkast poured their hearts out in "Ms. Jackson" as well as Ne-Yo in "Go On Girl."
Jay-Z let his lyrics mourn for him in "Song Cry." Most recently Gorilla Zoe sang, "You did it by yourself, now you're all by yourself" in his 2009 hit "Echo."
I always thought it was a rap thing, but now the rock folks are getting in on the fun of featuring artists on their upcoming albums. Thom Yorke took time out of the studio in sunny L.A. while recording with Radiohead to lend his angelic pipes to Flying Lotus on the song ... And the World Laughs With You for his upcoming album Cosmogramma. Yorke is no stranger when it comes to appearing on guest spots when he recently appeared on Modeselektor's The White Flash.
At 5'6", O'Neal McKnight's presence is far from intimidating. Dressed casually, with a friendly, open demeanour, you would never know that this man has the ear of some of the most celebrated names in the music industry. Perhaps his name is not as well known as that of his cousin Andre Harrell, but from dancing with Outkast, to styling Mystikal, and recording an album with Busta Rhymes, O'Neal McKnight's impressive list of talents and qualities show that there is much, much more than meets the eye.
Fourteen years ago, when the site was little more than Ryan Schreiber’s upstart in the Twin Cities, few if any, imagined online publication Pitchfork to turn into the international music media colossus that it’s become today. So influential have they proven themselves that the site is said to be all but directly responsible for a band's rise to fame, or their fall into obscurity.
Contrary to popular belief, they work out of offices in Chicago, not a secret chamber in some secluded temple of The Vatican, simultaneously eager and dreadful for the moment Dan Brown puts pen to paper about them. As such, they’re not above doing best-of lists, so below are their top twenty albums of the 2000s…
It’s been a while since we heard from OutKast, the crazy rap duo from Atlanta. However, according to Big Boi, the group seems to have been very busy in the studio. At the annual music festival South by South West (SXSW) in Texas, the rapper announced he will be coming out with his first solo effort this summer (yah!). Although their 2003 hit album ‘Speakerboxxx/The Love Below’ let each of the artists express their independent spirit on separate discs, this is Big Boi’s chance to stand on his own.
I wanted to give people insight into who I was. A lot of people, they don't know me and 3000 like that," Big Boi said about the upcoming album at SXSW. "I guess to be more me. Here I am, speaking on different things in life — but definitely keeping it funky and having fun."
