Terry Richardson has been in some hot water lately for allegedly being overtly sexual while photographing young girls. Well he is branching out and has plans to get guys naked and do them.
"I love shooting guys. Some of my favorite pictures over the years have been the things I've done with guys. In a commercial context too, there's no hair or makeup with guys, which is great. I love shooting nudes of guys, but it's harder to get guys to do full nudes, I don't know why, but they don't want to show their junk. I love doing guys. If there are any guys out there that want to get naked you can email: firstname.lastname@example.org"
After industry insiders came forth with a what's-the-big-deal? stance towards the predatory allegations towards Terry Richardson from some of his subjects, Jezebel invited more alleged victims to write in anonymously of their encounters with Richardson.
It's said that they received a ton of emails, which made us a bit skeptical at first - until we searched and found a picture of Richardson receiving oral sex from an unidentified subject. Plenty of insiders wrote in anonymously in fear of losing their jobs. Though many of the stories are too graphic to post, we think outlining the problem is sufficient.
British fashion photographer Mark Borthwick proved to be anything but conventional in the ‘90s, when his work was featured in Italian Vogue, The Journal, and the New Yorker. Now he’s publishing a monograph to showcase it.
Not in Fashion, published with Rizzoli, is a book featuring some of his most memorable shots, including a nude of Polly Mellon and a picture of then-21-year old Chloe Sevigny puffing a cigarette.
The book displays over 200 images from his best fashion editorials, portraits, and ad work. While the images are genius - showcasing the movement of the model, perhaps the most interesting part of Not in Fashion is the passages from his personal journal. These pages consist of personal Polaroids, drawings and notes from his famous celebrity photo shoots, making it seem more like a scrapbook.
The hardcover edition is available at Amazon.com for $31.50.
