1. A major tip when wanting to look high fashion, with affordable prices, is to mix and match affordability with designer. So when it comes time to splurge go with a great shoe or a purse. In this first outfit each piece is under $30 and then a bit of a splurge on these Giuseppe Zanottie pink suede strap heels. Nothing screams power more then a leather piece. Interview: Dana-Maxx is Fashion's Latest Fury

If there’s one thing that we love about a real good designer, it’s the fact that they design for a real good woman. Yes, we said it: real bodies, real curves, real hips, real busts, real sizes; we’re talkin’ some regular ole’ R-E-A-L.

While shopping the runways in Paris, New York, and Milan might be discouraging for those of us with curves, (if you got it, flaunt it!) fear no more, we've got a designer for you. Even though bigger names in the industry are the brands we tend to gravitate to, these notable names and designs don’t always hug and squeeze (read: flatter) in all the right places. So, what’s a girl to do?

NY Fashion Week F/W 2012 Recap

Coming off Fashion Week we are both exhilarated and exhausted. What a huge season, not only for the designers, but for us! We worked around the clock, resulting in our biggest, most extensive fashion week ever. We covered a combined total of nearly 100 runway shows and parties over the course of the week. We also attended the Fashion 2.0 Awards, Socialyte.co's Bloggers Brunch, Elle & Style360's Accessory Lounge, and CFDA's IMPACT exhibit. If you're wondering if we've slept, the answer is "No!" In addition to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, we also covered NOLCHA, also known as Independent Fashion Week. There we discovered standout, lesser known designers who have been flying under the radar; including Danilo Gabrielli, Vassilis Zoulias, and JetSet Collective.

The Fashionista's Online Playground

Shopping online can be much like those Bing.com commercials we have all seen. Your search for a python clutch may have you browsing National Geographic, rather than the likes of Michael Kors or Rebecca Minkoff. But thanks to Google, the mother of all search engines, this issue may be solved. Google has just launched a new e-commerce site that puts the fashion you love at your fingertips.

Polyvore.com: The New IT Thing in D.I.Y. Fashion

Perhaps it’s popular because there are a limitless number of possibilities available or the fact that it’s like playing virtual dress up, but polyvore.com definitely has something brewing. The create-your-own outfit motto of the website is what makes it so appealing... not to mention extremely engaging. Site visitors are given a clean slate and thousands of images, audio clips, and pieces of clothing and accessories to choose from to make a personalized collage/outfit. The site has essentially overtaken fashion sites and has become the primary mode of producing “stylists.” Polyvore attracts more than 835,000 visitors a month, which is 25 percent more than Style.com. Websites such as Style, Lucky, and Vogue are already withering because of the lack of users, but this trend only solidifies their troubling future.
