Lunch With Lartigue

Karlie Kloss has scored the cover of Teen Vogue's May 2010 issue; which wouldn't be a big deal if the publication casted models for solo covers frequently. The 17-year old sensation has had quite a year - besides racking up 170,000 airline miles for traveling - from being Jason Wu's 'lucky closer,' to being casted again for Christian Dior's Fall 2010 campaigns. The St. Louis native who remains as 'just Karlie' to her friends, remains humble and sweet as she chooses between her English teacher or her uncle to accompany her to shows; in the meantime she backs sweets - as she did for Teen Vogue's Amy Astley and Alexander Wang. But, remaining a supermodel isn't on Kloss' long-term goals. The model has plans to get a medical degree, hoping to visit third-world countries to help children.

Raf Simons Taking Jil Sander Menswear Somewhere Else?

As if Men's Fashion Week could become any more boring. Raf Simons is packing up the Jil Sanders team to show in Dubai. Okay we're kidding - that just sounded ideal.

However, Pitti Immagine Uomo, one of Europe's largest men's trade shows, has asked Simons to show the Jil Sander menswear at their event (the 78th Edition of Pitti Uomo) in Florence, instead of its Jil Sander Milan store.

Do You Like Men In Skirts?

Are Spring 2010 collections coming in already?

My season's entertainment shall be fulfilled with H&M's Marc Jacobs' inspired skirt obsession - oh, I apologize - kilt obsession.

Olivier Theyskens Goes Topless!

Olivier Theyskens is that you?

The ex-Nina Ricci designer-turned-book writer-turned-model poses for Paris, LA Magazine, a magazine that is published twice a year.

How exclusive!

And, get this - the designer brought some of his own clothing to the shoot. What a model!

It's said that Theyskens posed topless as well, with his long mane made to cover his face. Rick Owens, Raf Simons and sheer tops were also used for the shoot photographed by Michael Henry.

Peter Copping, can you do that?

Where Colbert Fails, Vuitton or Simons May Succeed

A few days back, T.V. presenter Stephen Colbert offered the nation a chance to hand Kanye West a lesson in humility. But, Kanye himself may have beat him to the punch. After making significant milestones in the world of music, Kanye holds the same aspirations in the world of fashion and has no qualms with starting at the very bottom of the professional food chain as an intern. West has pitched himself to designers Raf Simons and Louis Vuitton in hopes of landing a position that offers the experience that will guarantee creditability when he launches his own line, “Past Tell”. Kanye’s got a lot to prove and if he ends up making a historical mark in fashion instead of gaining humility, then, unfortunately ladies and gents, this will only feed his already heightened ego.
