RICO LOVE
Sean Paul recently hosted a preview party for his upcoming album Tomahawk Technique at The Darby Downstairs. Party-goers enjoyed Voli Vodka cocktails while they rocked out to both classic Sean Paul tunes like "Temperature" and "Get Busy," as well as songs from his soon-to-be-released album. The first single off his album, "Got 2 Luv U," features Alexis Jordan and has already become a Top Ten hit in eight countries. The Jamaican dancehall and reggae star is working with a handful of talented producers, including Benny Blanco, Rico Love, and Stargate, and he even makes his own debut as a producer on his track titled "Roll wid di Don."
Even with a world tour only days away, good friends come first.
R&B megastar Usher made sure to show some affection to his close friend and colleague Rico Love this past weekend as Love, the writer responsible for songs like “Daddy’s Home” and Nelly’s “Just a Dream” launched his new label Division One Music Group.
With his OMG Tour so close to kicking off Nov. 10 and on the West Coast no less, Usher said there was never a question to if he would be in Miami at Red Steakhouse, 119 Washington Ave., this past Friday night to support his comrade in hip-hop.
Grammy Award winning rapper/producer Rico Love is holding a launch party for his newly minted label Division 1. Hosting this party will be non other than Urrrsher, and don’t be surprised if you see Young Chris from the Young Gunz in the house either. Division 1 did a stand up job by signing the Philly bred rapper as the first artist on their roster.
