It is tough to stand out in a business endowed with so much genius, but multi-talented, multi-genre, DJ/producer, Loren Moore, aka IDestiny, is standing tall and may very well be on his way to becoming a household name. The Dallas-based sensation has taken the world by storm with his unique work, as well as with his remixing skills. Joonbug recently had the opportunity to speak with Loren about his current projects, musical influences, and the future of EDM:
With the Marshall Mathers LP 2's November 5th release date inching closer and closer, new details on the record are beginning to emerge. We've already seen videos for new tracks "Survival" and "Berzerk" and now the controversial rapper has made an official tracklisting, snapshot of the back cover art and details on some of his collaborators available.
The Grammy Award-winning artist will be joined by former "Love the Way You Lie collaborator Rihanna, as well as Kendrick Lamar, Nate Ruess (Ellie Goulding, Ke$ha) and Skylar Grey. The executive producers of the record are, not surpisingly, Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin.
LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!
Yesterday, a new Twitter war emerged between these two, and everyone in the twitterverse grabbed a front row seat to watch the “cattiness" play out... all in under 140 characters.
The annual MTV VMAS took place last night at the Brooklyn Barclays Center. This year the VMAS was more of a circus act than an actual award ceremony; there were a lot of random and excting moments that took place that will have us talking about it for the next couple of weeks...and maybe even years.
Here is a brief summary of the bizarre antics and reactions of yesterday:
The usually provocative singer was shockingly tame for her comeback to the VMAs stage and performance of her new single, "Applause." Lady Gaga opened the VMAs in white cardboard box. There was no meat dress or blood (like previous years), but the diva went through a number of costume changes during her act, eventually ending up in a mermaid inspired bra and thong.
Early Friday morning, our favorite bad boy crooner, Chris Brown, suffered a seizure! The singer was working in the Los Angeles recording studio, The Record Planet, when he suddenly collapsed, encountering a non-epileptic seizure. Emergency personnel reportedly rushed to the studio after receiving a call of Chris’ health status. The 24 year old singer refused to go to the hospital or receive treatment for the attack.
Brown’s rep shared a statement with E! News, "While in the studio working early this morning, Chris suffered a non-epileptic seizure (NES), He was not hospitalized. If you are wondering what exactly are NES, Non-epileptic seizures are episodes that briefly change a person's behavior and may look like epileptic seizures, according to the Epilepsy Foundation. His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."
Bad girl Rihanna continously suprises us with her edgy fashion, candid photographs, and daring videos, but this time, she has shocked us with something we never saw coming! The pop princess has managed to surpass five-time Grammy award winning legend, Janet Jackson's Billboard Record for the most singles at the top of the chart for an R&B/pop artist. The bad girl also managed to snatch the title of second-most No. 1s ever on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart from Jackson, with her current hit, and 20th No.1 single, "Right Now," featuring David Guetta. The hit track places her behind Madonna who’s in first place on the Billboard chart with 43 No.1 singles.
Chris Brown has been having a difficult time escaping his troubled past. From his controversial on -and- off -again relationship with pop star Rihanna, to throwing bottles at Drake, to hit and runs, the 24-year-old can’t seem to find the rightful path.
On Tuesday, August 6, Brown took to his Twitter to vent, saying, “Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album. Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I’m cool & over it!” The R&B star turned himself in earlier that day to the Van Nuys police department around 2PM for his hit-and-run case. He was released less than an hour later due to "overcrowding." Which is something celebrities seem to get away with quite often.
