Every year the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts the annual gala filled with a-listers, fashion, and art. This year proved (as expected) to be another very fashionable evening. The museum was honoring the long-awaited opening of the Costume Institute exhibition Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.
Visitors described the exhibit as being surreal, where The Cut even explained the video footage of Schiaparelli and Prada talking as, “…beautiful- playing in sharp resolution against the walls, almost like moving paintings.” The exhibit included classic quotes by Schiaparelli and Prada among the displays, as well as the designer duds from Prada shoes (including the latest designs), to the well-preserved antiques by Schiaparelli. As you can imagine, the exhibit itself is gasp-worthy.
In an industry dominated by male DJs, it’s easy for the female EDM fanbase to feel, well, a bit disconnected. Of course, we love our filthy Rusko dubstep, our booming Avicii anthems, our housey Armin Van Buuren dance tracks. But we all grew up on the same Britney Spears bubblegum pop music, and all share the same guilty pleasure of blasting Baby One More Time while belting out our favorite powergal’s lyrics into a hairbrush. So what’s a girl to do when she craves girly lyrics but has grown out of mundane mainstream beats? Thankfully, a few forward-thinking producers have heard our prayers for songs that incorporate sassy lyrics and electronic melodies, producing a genre all its own dubbed girl fire.
Rihanna’s no stranger to racy pictures. However, they’ve become even more outlandish lately. Aside from an "accidental" nip-slip pic a few days ago, RiRi has recently posted pics of her insane time a Coachella last weekend. The Instagram photos included her mounted atop her bodyguard's shoulders, and rolling what appears to be a joint off his bald head. Say what?! Another pic featured her partying with Snoop Dogg and Warren G with "thug life" written on her stomach. Both sets of pictures appeared to contain a certain smokeable substance. She deleted the post shortly after, but not before thousands of her followers commented on what they assumed the substance was. Under the photo she posted the quote, "Memories don't live like people do #coachella.”

The world will never forget what her abusive ex, Chris Brown, did and the leaked photos will probably never go away. A Georgia steakhouse even went on to make a 'Black & Blue' hamburger dedicated to her tumultuous relationship with Brown. Despite the traumatizing incident, she credits the controversy for her resulting strength. The 24-year-old sexy singer says, “It gave me guns. I was like, well, f**k. They know more about me than I want them to know. It’s embarrassing. But that was my opening. That was my liberation, my moment of bring it. […] Now you know that, so you can say what you want about it. I don’t have anything to hide.”

In Watkinsville, Georgia, about ten miles outside of Athens, a local steakhouse, Chops & Hops, debuted a new steak and bleu cheese sandwich to mix reviews. Not because patrons didn't enjoy the sandwich but because of the way in which the steakhouse decided to advertise their menu addition. On Saturday, Chops & Hops published a picture to their Facebook of their new sandwich, "Black and Blue,” accompanied by this quote:
“@chrisbrown @rihanna and us teamed up for a [sic] award winning celebrity sandwich. Put your hands on this Caribbean black and bleu sandwich. Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.”
After a 30 minute Youtube video went viral and exposed Joseph Kony for the blood thirsty leader he is, Kony has become a household name. The goal of the video was to raise awareness and gain support for the Kony 2012 campaign, and it did just that!
TMZ is reporting that Rihanna has reached out to the Invisible Children Organization and has expressed an interest in creating a video to help raise awareness about a monster named Joseph Kony.
In the YouTube video, producers beg for celebrity support to raise awareness and showed a picture of Rihanna, as well as others in an effort to get attention and get them involved.

Turtle Bay is much different than that of McFadden's Saloon on a well drenched Thursday. T-Bay offers variation with multiple levels of different music and dance options. There were a few things consistent with each level of the venue: drenched stairs from spilled drinks. And each one of the bars resembled an oasis. Housing the sweet nectar with an ocean of people in your way. When you do finally arrive to the shore of the bar, fresh Bud Lights off tap and mixed cocktails are plentiful.
