RUSKO
The Do LaB’s Lightning in a Bottle Music and Arts Festival has quickly become one of the most sought after events in the country. For the past 8 years they have worked tirelessly to defy any previous conception of the modern gathering. Now, with utmost experience and knowledge of the industry, Lightning in a Bottle pushes into its most impressive showing to date .
This year’s lineup includes a slew of genre-defying electronic headliners like Nicolas Jaar, Rusko, Paper Diamond, Tycho, Griz, and PantyRaid. These pioneers of their craft will take on the awe inspiring landscape of the Lighting in a Bottle’s new lakeside location on Skinner Lake in Temecula, CA on July 11th through 15th.
RUSKO's latest EP, KAPOW, will be available for download on November 4th. KAPOW will also be available for iTunes download on November 6th. The four-track EP includes big-room, upbeat "Yeah," the darker “Booyakasha,” bass-heavy and soulful “Bring It Back,” and seemingly hip-hop influenced "Like This."
The English DJ/Producer recently announced he'll be releasing all original music free from now on. He released the following statement:
The Fall 2012 phase of Bounce Music Festival is about to get in gear to rock a city near you. Hosting global superstar DJs, this year's festival welcomes headliners Alesso, Martin Solveig, Hardwell, Dada Life, Rusko, and Borgore.
Bounce kicks off on Friday, Oct. 26 in Raleigh, North Carolina with Swedish sensation, Alesso at the Longbranch of Raleigh. A second date on Oct. 26 will feature French producer Martin Solveig, Dutch master Hardwell, Deniz Koyu and Tim Mason at the Mesa Amphitheater in Mesa, Arizona. On Wednesday October 31st, Dada Life will be giving champagne showers at Pic-A-Chic Farms along with Borgore. The UK dubstep leader Rusko will drop the bass at the Limelight in Nashville, Tennessee as the last date of the tour on Nov. 19th.
Rusko is gearing up for a jam packed fall. Just coming off a month long, Saturday night residency at Rain Nightclub in Vegas, he is preparing for his return back to the stage life. Last summer, the dubstep master toured the country promoting his new album “Songs,” which saw a departure from the producers regularly womping beats into a more reggae-inspired, genre-defying sound. The English producer is making his rounds from coast to coast ready to show off his new collaborations with Cypress Hill.
The tour will kick off in Chicago on October 26th and includes stops in Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Toronto and Orlando. And as usual, Rusko will bring out the big guns when it comes to production, touting an impressive arsenal of laser lights, booming subwoofers, and LCD screen magic.
Ten miles of darkness and 2000 cars separated us from the festival we had only dreamt about. As we stared forward, excited and anxious, there was a faint flicker towards the sky and then the familiar explosion of fireworks in the distance. A roar ripped through the desert from the cars around us. Indian chiefs and their topless girlfriends yelled and cheered out their windows, as packs of neon spattered fur boots ran by on foot. This was the scene I had heard so much about. The one that would save dance music events
Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival has consistently been remarked as the premier Electronic Music festival in the country. With steady competition from Ultra Music Festival , and the multitude of other events that have developed in the past few years, claiming that title is quite a feat. Insomniac’s founder, Pasquale Rotella, has rose through the ranks of California promoters to a point of utmost success. He has absolutely earned his stripes, with the immense scale of his events and consequences this sometimes brings. The risk involved with such massive gatherings as these has made it necessary for Pasquale to impose a new standard for safety at these events, both at the gates and in the festival. In both appearance and functionality, EDC proved to be nothing less than the world-class event that was beckoned for.
