It's the End of a Stoned Era: Showtime's 'Weeds' to Air Final Season

This summer will bring the final season of Weeds, one of Showtime's first acclaimed television shows. For 8 seasons, the crazy drug selling antics of Nancy Botwin, played by Parker Posey, and her lucrative pot growing/selling business were the forefront of water cooler conversations. While it is the end of an era, writers have promised a season filled with many surprises and twists.

Creator and writer of the show, Jenji Kohan, told Entertainment weekly, “I’m so proud of what we do here and that it’s about a strong woman lead who’s really flawed. We get to do comedy right up against drama, which a lot of shows don’t get the opportunity to do.”
