More Hangovers to Come in Vegas

With New Years Eve quickly approaching, many are trying to figure out the ways to avoid that dreaded next morning hangover, but on Dec. 10th these headpounding morning-afters were the toast of the party. Celebs gathered at PURE in Caesars Palace to celebrate the DVD launch of last summer's smash hit The Hangover. Many of the film's scenes were shot in Caesars and the hotel went all out with decorations, draping some of the famous statues in "What did we do last night?" paraphenalia and recreating iconic scenes from the movie. They even had a wedding chapel where guests could get their photos taken in full Hangover-style costume (hen included, missing tooth-your choice).

Champagne and Wine Suggestions for New Year's Eve Parties and Events

Consider yourself warned: bubble guts and long lavatory visits will be the consequence of negligent champagne and wine selections. Don't be a victim. Instead, on New Year's Day 2010 you should be feasting on black-eyed peas, watching football and maybe even sifting through some bills. The toast on New Year's Eve, which officially brings in the New Year, traditionally marks the unmitigated totality and culmination of the year as well as the climax of the evening. Therefore, mustn't we honor this occasion appropriately? For just this one night, abandon the Andre and ditch the Sutter Home, because tonight, your taste is held to a higher standard. Here are a couple new world suggestions to help guide you.

Love Never Dies For The Phantom Of The Opera

In 1986, Andrew Lloyd Webber introduced the world to a character, who some may argue is the most famous theatrical persona-non-grata of all time. The partially-masked Phantom of the Opera has struck a resonating chord in the hearts of millions, as he plays his part in the poignantly, painfully romantic Paris-set love triangle.

Now, in 2009, and after more than 8,000 shows, Sir Lloyd Webber has announced that the long-awaited sequel is almost complete.

There have been many set-backs over the years, including rumors that the entire score was erased after Sir Andrew’s kitten – Otto – jumped onto the composer’s computerized piano. Apparently the cat had a dispute with the direction the sequel was going, and Webber’s apparent refusal to cast him as the role of Raoul.

Chaos Takes Over the 'City'

Just three days into production on the highly anticipated Sex and the City: the Movie sequel, madness has erupted on the Upper East Side set. Photos of Sarah Jessica Parker filming outside the famous Fifth Avenue apartment Big and Carrie now call home first surfaced on Tuesday. Since then, crazed fans have been lining up during the wee hours of the morning just to catch a glimpse of Parker in her signature designer duds. In response, security has been doubled on the set and its surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, women stampeded toward Parker as she walked to her trailer from a Park Avenue location, causing security detail to aggressively shove them out of the way. Onlookers said one could easily think that it was the President being guarded rather than Parker. The crowds were at it again in the afternoon as they swarmed co-star Cynthia Nixon as she left her trailer. It got so bad that the shoot was eventually cancelled. Despite the insanity, spectators say the cast mates are handling the situation quite well. It has been reported that both Parker and Chris Noth have told officers to calm down and have happily posed for pictures for their fans.
