Friday, April 15, 2011, London - The radio station, Capital FM, leaked Lady Gaga's latest single "Judas" (followed by widespread online leaks) four days earlier than announced. Her label, Interscope Records, opted for a rush release of the highly anticipated second single from Gaga’s upcoming record Born This Way, scheduled to drop May 23rd.
Lady Gaga has been under constant scrutiny in the past several years for her seemingly outlandish antics (think Meat-Dress). Earlier this month an opinionated man directly accuses Lady Gaga of blasphemy following her somewhat controversial video for "Born This Way". Yet the pop stars newly released track, "Judas", continues with the same theme, containing many theological references. In fact, “Judas” has already stirred up contention among religious leaders. The president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has already spoken out against Lady Gaga, asserting that the entire religiously-geared venture did not coincidentally emerge during the Catholics’ Holy Week, but instead, was strategically scheduled as a publicity stunt.
Fleet Foxes have released a second single, "Battery Kinzie," from their forthcoming album, Helplessness Blues. The album is to be released on May 3rd, 2011.
