Red Bull Music Academy Pays Tribute to Hip-Hop & NYC's Five Boroughs

Red Bull Music Academy is taking us on a musical Hip Hop tour through the five borough’s of New York City. Five Out Of Five is part of RBMA's world tour and celebrates New York City itself and the genre of music that originated here, Hip Hop. Declaring rap as one of the most influential cultural movements of our time. Over the course of five days, five classic albums representing each of the five boroughs are revisited. Free panel discussions held in each borough followed by ticketed performances where the artists re-create their seminal works. Bridging the gap from old to new school. The five albums covered are: ‘The Infamous’ by Mobb Deep (1995), Slick Rick's ‘The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick’ (1988), Wu Tang Clans' ‘Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’ (1993), Black Moon’s ‘Enta Da Stage’ (1993), and Dipset’s ‘Diplomatic Immunity’ (2003). On Sunday September 25, Mobb Deep Kicked-off the series at Webster Hall. Yesterday the Paradise Theater in the Bronx hosted Slick Rick and D-Nice to commemorate ‘The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick’.
