SNOOP DOG
Diplo mentioned/hinted at/alluded to his new EP Express Yourself all the way back in December 2011. Since then, all has been silent for the most part. In February, the title track form the EP was released as a single to much acclaim on the Mad Decent imprint. Featuring Nicky Da B, it's a pretty classic take on a bounce track, full of energy and some serious hooks.
Finally, after much anticipation, the EP is slated for release on June 12 on Mad Decent. While this is no guarantee given the long and mysterious nature of this journey, hopes are high for an actual release this time. Collaborating with Nicky Da B, Elephant man, GTA and a slew of others, Express Yourself is sure to set many a dance floor on fire next month.
Thank goodness some of the best performances were available via live streaming coverage this year at Coachella. For all you poor souls unable to make it this year, we got ya covered. If you missed our Part I coverage go here. Otherwise plow forward for our Part II highlights.
Day 2 included coverage of the epic Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre set from Sunday night featuring a hologram performance by the departed Tupac Shakur! So eerily real it sent shivers down our spines. Eminem, 50cent, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrik Lamar were also some of the best performances.
Sure it's only days until this year's Coachella in Indio, California, but it's never too late to post a final lineup! This year, the schedule is tight and some hard decisions will have to be made. Do you want to see Radiohead or A$ap Rocky, Avicii or Dr. Dre with Snoop Dog? To tell you the truth, every decision is a good decision when the lineup is as good as it is, but that won't make deciding any easier.
