I arrive at the luxurious James New York hotel in SoHo to interview the host of Spike's new series "Bar Rescue" and the president of Nightclub & Bar Media Group.
“Bar Rescue” follows Jon Taffer, also head of consulting firm Taffer Dynamics, as he refashions failing drinking establishments and teaches struggling bar owners across the country how to get back in business. The show explores every facet of the bar industry, whether it’s creating a profitable drink/food menu, handling rowdy customers, re-training or replacing the staff, and creating the perfect atmosphere. In each episode Taffer brings in a team of carefully hand-picked experts, which include everyone from his lovely wife Nicole (who goes incognito to provide a woman's point of view), to expert mixologist Michael Tipps, who's worked as bar manager for the SoHo and Tribeca Grand Hotels in NYC.

The Comedy Awards will take place in none other than New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on March 26th and will premiere all across MTV Networks, Spike TV, TV Land, VH1, and of course, Comedy Central on Sunday, April 10th, 2011.
Sandra Bullock surprised everyone by showing up at Spike TV's Guys Choice awards on Saturday night. She amazed everyone by showing off a tight black dress and poking fun at her personal life.
She was there to accept the Troops Choice Award for entertainer of the year.
"Let's be honest here, just for a moment. We're all going to be honest, right?" Bullock asked the crowd. "Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. explosion that became my personal life?"
