TAKERS
Ok, so apparently T.I. might not have a day job much longer. Clifford Harris, the rapper known as T.I. should be on an amazing high. His movie Takers, which he executive produced and starred in, is number one at the box office. He has a new album out this month and has finally made his long time union with Tameka "Tiny" Coddle legal. Maybe that just isn't enough for someone who has everything though. As of just yesterday, the rapper and his wife were pulled over in West Hollywood after police suspected marijuana in the vehicle. After a search of the car, police discovered methamphetamines in the form of pills that "resembled Ecstasy," a spokesperson for the police department commented.
I'm a movie girl. Born and bred. Always have been. Always will be. I see the big features at the Loews in Times Square. I see the small indies at that little theater on Third Avenue in the 50s. My Time Warner bill is mostly On Demand new releases should I miss them in the theater and my DVR is full of movies aired on TBS, FX or Oxygen. I desperately love movies.
After a ten month prison sentence and 100,300 dollars in Federal weapon charges, things didn't seem to be looking up for rapper T.I. However lately the newly freed artist has been all smiles and seems to have a new lease on life. With a recent wedding to long time girlfriend, and ex Xscape member Tameka Cottle, a starring role in the movie "Takers" and a new album dropping, its not too hard to see why. The Atlanta rapper finally spoke out to the press saying simply,"You know me, man. I try to keep everything personal, personal. I will say this; I'm happy". His new album "King Uncaged" drops late September and has already topped the chats with singles "Got Your Back" and "I'm Back". As far as his movie career, T.I. plays a villian in the suspenseful action movie "Takers", releasing August 27th. Along side with Matt Dillon, Zoe Saldana, Chris Brown, Paul Walker, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez and Michael Ealy. "Takers" T.I.'s first co-producing project, will undoubtedly be a box office hit. When asked what the future looked like T.I. responded, ''I left relatively strong. I just wanted to make sure I came back in a way that would support my exit.''
With so many people anti- Chris Brown these days, it’s interesting to hear that he still has a few supporters. The singer, who apparently has a new movie coming out titled ‘Takers’ (formerly called ‘Bone Deep’- I guess they changed the title because it was too befitting) will not be bumped from the promotion of the movie according to rapper T.I. The rapper, who produced the movie, feels that Brown is being unfairly attacked in regards to the rumors.
"There's no validity to that statement,” T.I said in a recent interview with RapRadar.com.
