From DJing and producing, to owning Australian nightclubs and having their own reality show, The Stafford Brothers are taking the EDM scene by force. The Aussie brothers have kept extremely busy over the past few years with releases on labels like Stealth and Cr2, in the midst of touring and filming two seasons of their very own self-titled reality show. We caught up with Matt and Chris Stafford when they were in New York to talk about their Las Vegas residency, their TV show possibly coming to America, and everything else they have planned for the rest of the year.
West 16th Street, the home of Dream Downtown, Maritime Hotel, and No. 8, seems to be facing crowding issues due to the extensive lines outside of the hot venues.
This area of the Meatpacking District is filled with hotspots, and more are on the way. To ensure that this doesn’t affect street traffic even more, The Business Licenses and Permits Committee of Community Board 4 is meeting with each new addition to see what their plans of traffic monitoring entail, reports DNAinfo.
One of the most anticipated times of the year is back again – and no, it’s not Christmas. Each year, the hype surrounding New York City Restaurant Week seems to escalate, and this year is no exception.
From July 16-August 10, 284 restaurants will participate and include their infamous prixe fixe menus. Not only is Restaurant Week a great time to go to your favorite spots, it is the perfect opportunity to sample that restaurant you’ve always wanted to try. Beware, reservations will book up super quickly!
As reported, Maritime Hotel’s Hiro Ballroom and Matsuri Shutter restaurant are closing its doors, making way for Marc Packer and Rich Wolfe of the Tao Group to take over. According to Eater, Mr. Packer is looking to open a Tao Downtown restaurant in the Chelsea location, although finer details are scarce for now, don't look for any openings until early 2013.
Heidi Klum is well known for her elaborate Halloween costumes and parties. This year's 12th annual party at Tao nightclub at the Venetian in Las Vegas was no exception with her dramatic entrance and ensemble.
The eccentric supermodel was covered by a blood spattered sheet and wheeled onto the red carpet by two dudes dressed as doctors. The sheet was pulled back to reveal a skinless Klum in a bodysuit with immaculate muscle and bone detail. She rose from the gurney and proceeded to pose for the cameras as if she walked right out of the pages of an Anatomy textbook, or maybe a twisted episode of Dexter.
Warning!
The infamous Sunset Saturdays at Dream Downtown's pool will now be taking place at PH-D Rooftop Lounge. The lounge is located on the 12th floor of the Dream Downtown and has amazing views of the city. The Lounge has hosted numerous celebs such as Solange Knowles, Christina Ricci, and Tyson Beckford and is brought to you from the creators of Tao, Marquee, Lavo, and Avenue. Signature cocktails are pricey, but equally delicious. Similar to The Standard, this venue is selective at the door (read: dress to impressss), but once you weave your way in, it is worth the wait. Don't miss these wild evenings every Saturday from 5:30-10pm. For reservations, e-mail SunsetSats@gmail.com.
On Wednesday night, legendary nightlife/restaurant guru Noah Tepperberg had his birthday celebration. For you people living under a rock, Noah owns some of the best and most profitable nightclubs in the world. Just to name a few venues, does Tao, Marquee, Lavo and Avenue ring a bell? The night started at Tao with a 300+ person dinner. Everyone was dressed in white, as it was a white and neon themed party. Even the infamous giant Buddha who sits in the main dining room was dressed properly with a white shirt and neon sunglasses and was surrounded by gorgeous busty dancers with onion booties that definitely made me tear up a little bit. T & A was clearly the main course for dinner. Everyone then went to Lavo, where Kaskade was DJing. (I seriously love his song "Move for me" from 2008 and will never ever get sick of it. I still listen to it now while I walk the stinky streets of NYC.) It was a epic evening at Lavo. Filled with the most beautiful people in NYC, with dozens of people flying in from around the world just for the special occasion. Lots and lots of bottles of champagne being popped and a gigantic pair of sneakers in a form of a birthday cake all for the special birthday boy. I would have to say it will be nearly impossible for anyone to top this birthday celebration. Happy Birthday Mr. Noah Tepperberg!!!!
Amidst the whirlwind of his latest project, Dream Downtown, we were able to steal a few questions from owner, Noah Tepperberg. He and his partners at The Strategic Group have been the brains behind famous hotspots such as Marquee and Avenue in NYC as well as TAO and LAVO in Las Vegas. With the new unveiling of the acclaimed, Dream Downtown, they continue their reign on nightlife. After our interview with Noah last week, we wanted more --and so did everyone else! Without further ado, here's ten questions with Tepperberg.
