English rockers The Vaccines say they "don't understand" why bands take such long breaks between making albums, that they "don't understand" why bands take so long to MAKE albums. The band's singer, Justin Young literally can't figure out how or why bands would do such a thing, saying that "I don't understand what people are doing with their time. It's not long since I was working as a removals man and craving any second I could get with my guitar." Maybe that's why in their two year history as a band they're already rev'd up to release their second full length studio album.
UK’s indie-pop outfit, The Vaccines, use their musical influences for homage with their debut album What Did You Expect From the Vaccines? Modernizing iconic American musical styles, their rock infused diddies also draw from classic themes including chasing girls, feeling like an outsider, and post break-up sex - well maybe not all elements of this collection would be considered "classic".
Blasting off with a punk gem similar to what you might expect from the Ramones, "Wreckin' Bar (ra ra ra)", blows your hair back and sets the tone for the rest of the record. The twelve tracks are a combination of quick hitting pop-punk explosions and thoughtful ballads that are a perfect summer introduction.
