TOM JONES
New York is widely regarded as the unofficial music capital of the country, with a plethora of concert halls, recording studios and resident artists making musical magic each and every day. So it’s no wonder that New Music Seminar and the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment have teamed up to host the first-ever inaugural “New York Music Week,” launching today and lasting until June 21.
The week of tunes will focus on growing and improving the recording industry of the future, fostering new ideas through a variety of events, panels, discussions and concerts. Between networking and building business relationships and introducing new, budding artists, NYMW will offer something for every music lover - from professionals to fans.
You think birthday clowns are the best ? Think again. Prince Harry would like Snoop Dogg and Tinie Tempah to come to Prince William's engagement party. Some make their proposal at White Castle and get grunk in Vegas. Some marry Kate Middleton and call Snoop Dogg to share fish and chips.
So this would be a little buddy party. The kind of party where you play Wii and ask Snoop Dogg to bring the drinks : nothing special. I do it often. Rumours say Tom Jones has been invited to the "official" party. Queen Mum dancing on Tom Jones music ? Gross.
Harry will officialy contact Snoop Dogg next week. The rapper used to be banned from England since he had a fight on a plane with police officers. Now he is welcomed by the royal family. As you kids can see, you must never lose hope.
Sarah Palin took a seat on Jay Leno's couch Tuesday night to chat and giggle and all that other nonsense guests do on late-night talk shows. Once the two were done catching up, Leno announced that Palin was going to make her "comedy debut" (apparently SNL doesn't count). The former Governor of Alaska took to the stage and performed a pretty decent stand-up routine. She joked about the things you'd expect: Alaska (it's so cold there it's "5 degrees below Congress' approval rating"), not being the vice president ("I would not know what to do with all that free time), and of course, Tina Fey ("I have been really busy, I've picked up a gig in Las Vegas, at the Legends show, playing Tina Fey.")
