Owner Marisa Ferrarin hailed Gaga saying that it was “truly a night to remember!” You’ve been a very good, good girl, Gaga.

Il Matto: The "Madman's" Touch

Il Matto

TriBeCa

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, Il Matto held its premier restaurant cocktail party. With tall formal columns on the outside, the interior is far from any traditional Italian restaurant ever seen. The restaurant is still under renovation with several weeks remaining before the grand opening.

Many unique features about the restaurant live up to its name, the "madman". For instance, the bartending area is built in an "S" shape to allow guests to walk around the bartending area while gazing at the streets of New York. As Chef Matteo Boglione explained, he wanted to avoid creating a traditional Italian restaurant with the same type of dishes. Instead he wanted to be as different as he could; he sought to bring in unusual ingredients to his cooking as well as uncommon furniture for the restaurant.

Olivia Palermo Designing?

After reviewing the trailer for the upcoming season of The City, it struck us as kind of odd that Joe Zee of Elle coerced Olivia Palermo into being a 'reporter' for the publication - opting to tell her it would make her more famous.

But, we wondered, what exactly does Olivia want to be famous for? She's already attempted to be an actress - or shall we say someone who darts in front of any camera. She's deemed herself a fashionable girl - taking note of her DvF and Elle stints - and she's now calling herself a jewelry designer, by partnering up with Roberta Freymann for a capsule collection.

Brian Reyes, A Fashion Week Fave, Spills On His Favorite Eateries in NYC

Like many designers presenting collections in this year's Fashion Week (the final Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to be held in Bryant Park), Brian Reyes has many fans, both celebrity and civilian alike. The young Colombian fashion designer first appeared on the scene in 2006 and turned heads in his fall 2009 fashion show when his models went barefoot for the show's final run, due to the discomfort of the models' footwear. While no doubt inundated with praises from his own fans constantly, Reyes is also a fan himself, and is singing a few praises of his own: praises for Tribeca food fare, that is. In a brief blip from glamour.com, Reyes names Tribeca's own The Odeon and Estancia 460 as among some of his preferred grub spots in New York City.
