VITA
For video game lovers, there are two big shows that tease new video games and gadgets for the next year--E3 and Tokyo Game Show. One of the biggest pieces of news at this year’s Tokyo Game Show was the Vita’s final release date. It was clear that the system was ready for release, and colorful finished versions were teased along with potential games.
Handheld games, one of the most popular past times since the Game Boy’s birth, are favorites of casual gamers and the hardcore. The PSP, Sony’s answer to the Nintendo DS, has proven to be a formidable rival for the past few years. The Vita, the PSP’s shiny new sibling, is already promising sleek size, great visuals, and a touch pad. The handheld has dual stick controls, a front and back facing camera, WiFi and 3G capability, a SIXAXIS motion sensor similar to the one found in PS3 controllers, and a front multitouch screen. The system, no bigger than its older sibling, is basically an entire gaming console wrapped up in a tiny package. The visuals so far are amazing for a handheld and the Vita looks sleek and fun.
The exciting news is that the official release date for Japan is December 17th. In America, the release date will be somewhere between February and March of 2012, still not too far off. Twenty-six launch titles have been announced for the PS Vita, including Little Big Planet, Mortal Kombat, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom, and an untitled Katamari Damacy game. The main curiosity at Tokyo Game Show was the array of colors of PS Vitas surrounding the area along with the curious game cartridges and memory cards put on display. The PS Vita, however, will launch with only with black as a color option and retail as $249.00 for the WiFi version and $299.00 for the 3G version.
Over the Memorial Day weekend rumor leaked that the new Sony handheld, successor to the Playstation Portable’s legacy, had an official name: Vita. The short name had mainstream video game websites up in arms for hours, as the original “proof” that the new name existed was quickly deleted. The rumor also comes at a rather plausible time, since E3, or the Electronic Entertainment Expo is only a week away.
It's Friday night and you're ready to unwind with a few friends: a savory meal at STK, an evening out at Tantra Lounge or a high energy party at Set. The stress from the work week is weighing on your shoulders and rounds of your favorite spirits aren't doing the job… Then a beautiful woman comes up and asks you if you'd be interested in a massage and you think, "She must have been sent from heaven": Heaven or Angel Squads!
Angel Squads employs teams of beautiful ladies to work the hottest, most exclusive venues in Miami Beach. Not only are they beautiful, but they provide top-quality massage services designed for optimal relaxation. Look for them in their modish white corsets and dainty white wings on any night of the week at places like The Wall, Mynt, Coco De Ville, The Mondrian, Philippe, Vita and Rok Bar. Enjoy a 10 minute massage featuring their signature Indian head massage and acupressure massage. Approach them or let them make their way to you and experience a piece of heaven on earth as they work their magic. What a way to unwind! Your average Friday night just got better.
If your boyfriend, or girlfriend, is out of town, then you should heat to Vita. The promoters call it “a party honoring the beautiful women of Miami Beach,” I call it a party honoring the beautiful women and men of Miami Beach.
The restaurant serves refined French-Italian cuisine all week long, but on Wednesdays, Vita turns into the place to be seen. Girls dance on whatever they can stand on, whether it is the bar or the table. Some use the floor. And guys overspend on the finest champagne and huge vases filled with Sex on the Beach. Plus, two DJ’s transform the floor in a real dance floor.
Cipriani Upstairs
Thursday nights Fall re-opening was amazing! I had a hot little crew with me - Dovile Virsilaite, her best friend Kirsten and Russian model Guzel. Dovile and Kirsten joined me Upstairs after dinner and we got crazy. My associate “Slim” rolled in with Nima Yamini and took over a swath of the room with eight or nine models. I honestly couldn’t tell you who else was there. But a thank you to all that came to help celebrate - including Damon Dash, who holds meetings outside of Cipriani on an almost daily bases, hyped about his new #1 single.
Cipriani Upstairs
I am a little off today. Mondays are always a bit sluggish. Sunday Nights are karaoke at Cipriani Downtown in the member’s club. Russell Simmons, who has a great sense of humor, and I chatted up two sisters from North Carolina - and the guy would not relent on the jokes. Russell came with his long time friend David Rosenberg. We are both shaved bald. David and I were sitting back to back - Russell pushes our heads together and asks, “What does this look like?” He answers, “Black and white ass cheeks."
Hysterical? No. But it's good to laugh at yourself sometimes. That and the fact that I’m younger and better looking than Russell ever was in his prime helps.
