It’s rare to find a set of art that’s a combination of adorable, heartwarming, and humorous. Chris Gerringer, however, is here to start our weekend right, with over 20 illustrations of characters we’ve grown to love, bonding over some shared misfortune. The “I Know That Feel, Bro” series borrows its title from a meme made popular on the video game board on 4chan and, for better or worse, made its way out to Reddit, Tumblr, and just about every major social network.
Coloud, the minds behind quite a few different sets of funky yet affordable headphones recently added a new roster of cool listening devices that comic book fans will love. On the heels of the Thor movie release in theaters and just before X-Men: First Class and Captain America, Coloud brings us headphones for Marvel comics. This crossover event bring characters that have made an impact on generations of readers back into mainstream style by combining them with a modern necessity: music.
No strangers to brightly colored pop icon pieces, Coloud has made headphones for Hello Kitty, Betty Boop, and Star Wars. This time around, their comfortably hefty looking headphones will feature Captain America, Wolverine, The Punisher, the X-Men, and a pair featuring classic comic book sound effects.
Just consider it another reason why New York is the best city in the world to live in. Though an official announcement hasn’t yet been made, it seems very likely that A Steady Rain, Keith Huff’s play about two troubled police officers, will be appearing on Broadway this fall starring none other than Wolverine and James Bond, also known as Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig.
While Jackman is an experienced stage actor (recall his stellar musical talents on display during the Oscars) having already performed at such illustrious venues like Britain’s National Theatre, Craig is new to the game. Interestingly, Bond-franchise producer Barbara Broccoli will also be producing A Steady Rain.
This meeting of thespian super hunks is naturally expected to be a smash hit at the box office.
