Joonbug is seeking a full-time Nightlife Event Manager in our New York City office. We are looking for true-believers and hospitality careerists who can grow with us! The Nightlife Event Manager is responsible for the development and execution of special events and marketing programs for a wide variety of clients in the nightlife and hospitality industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for all in house events from conception to conclusion; including preparing the site for walk-throughs, event preparation, proposals and invoicing, etc.
You thrive talking to a customer and selling them tickets and tables.
Research venues and vendors utilized to assist with building successful events, including but not limited to, booking agents, security, décor, staffing, food, and beverage etc
Get on the phone and call 100 bars and get them to work with us!
Able to market and draw a crowd for promotional one-off or weekly events
Hit the streets and get new venues
Hit the streets and promote, if you do not want to go to the party and give out free tickets and do a shout out with the dj then this is not for you, if you do then you will have a blast!
You want to be the person working the door of the event or the head person in charge of making the event happen on site. Our events happen on the weekends, you do not care because it is your lifestyle anyway!
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Marketing, Communications, PR, Business) or equivalent experience
A flexible schedule is mandatory- work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with rigorous attention to detail
Extroverted, self-motivated and resilient with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with confidence in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
Candidates must live within 45 minute commute to the office if more then it will not work out.
Travel to outside markets may be required
Basic Microsoft Office skills with strong proficiency in spreadsheet applications
Hours: Managers are in our Midtown office from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Mon. thru Fri., plus some weekend hours, and extended hours during the holidays.
Payment: $35K+ depending on experience. Benefits available after 3 months.
